Once you have clarity it is easier to stay focused and make yourgoals a priority. You know exactly what you want and have a plan to get there.

Goals serve as asource of motivation. When you have a target to strive for, you're more likelyto stay committed to your workout routine and make the necessary lifestylechanges. Once you have set a goal your attitude and actions tend to follow thatfocus, especially when you are in an environment that supports that goal.

Goals allow you tomeasure your progress objectively. Tracking your achievements can boost yourconfidence and drive you to push harder. Regular check ins with yourself on yourgoals and progress also gives you the ability to make adjustments along the way.
How to Set Effective Fitness Goals
1. Be Specific & Positive:
Define your goalsclearly. Instead of saying "I want to lose weight," set a specific sizeor weight you want to be and get clear on how you will feel when you get there.Why do you want to be that size/weight? What will you be able to do when you achievethat? What will you feel like and what will your habits be?
2. Make Them Achievable:
Set goals that arechallenging but achievable. Dream big and make sure your goals are within yourrealm of possibility. If your goal is to decrease your body fat % by becoming taller,that may not be possible.
3. Set a Timeline:
Establish arealistic timeline for each goal. Having a target date creates urgency and helpsyou stay on track. Also set a timeline to check in with yourself or someonethat you want to hold you accountable so that you have regular feedback on howyou are progressing towards your goal or if your goal needs to be adjusted.
4. Break Them Down:
Divide yourlong-term goals into smaller, manageable milestones. Celebrate these minisuccesses along the way. The more manageable and simpler your milestones arethe greater likelihood of achieving success. This is the power of 1% better everyday.
Goals are not set instone. Be open to adjusting your goals as you progress and as yourcircumstances change. Once you start setting goals and taking action like thisyou will be surprised at how your goals expand and change as you progress and grow.Stay open to new possibilities.
