Strong Kids, Strong Families: Why We Love Our CrossFit Kids & Young Athletes Program

At WildFire CrossFit, we believe fitness is for everyone—including our youngest athletes.

That’s why we’re so proud of our CrossFit Kids and Young Athletes programs.

These classes aren’t just about building strength and stamina; they’re about building confidence, coordination, and a love for movement that will serve kids for life.

Fitness for the Whole Family

One of the best parts about our youth program? It’s designed to work for families.

On Wednesdays at 4:30pm, our CrossFit Kids class runs alongside our adult CrossFit class. Parents and kids get to train at the same time in their own class—everyone walks out feeling stronger, more energized, and connected.

And on Sundays at 10:45am, we offer both CrossFit Kids and our Young Athletes class (for ages 11–13). That means families with multiple kids can drop everyone off for age-appropriate fitness, while parents take advantage of our Mobility Class—the perfect time for a little recovery while the kids get their workout in.

Starting June 3rd, we’re expanding for summer! We’re adding two new CrossFit Kids classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30am. With an adult class running at the same time, it’s a great option for families looking to stay active on a summer schedule.

What Happens in Class?

Our CrossFit Kids and Young Athletes classes follow the same principles we use in our adult program—safe, effective, and fun movement.

Each class includes:

We’ve seen firsthand how this builds not just physical ability, but mental toughness, discipline, and self-confidence. Kids leave class standing a little taller.

Why CrossFit is Great for Kids

CrossFit is one of the best ways for kids to develop a solid foundation of general physical fitness—agility, balance, strength, endurance, and coordination.

For kids who play sports, it’s an amazing way to supplement their training and prevent injury by improving movement quality and building resilience. And for kids who don’t yet love a specific sport, CrossFit introduces them to a wide range of movements and skills in a playful, encouraging environment.

Most importantly, it keeps movement fun. We’re not just teaching push-ups and air squats—we’re teaching kids to enjoy the way their bodies move and to be proud of what they can do.

It’s More Than a Workout

We’ve seen families bond over workouts, younger siblings look up to older ones in the gym, and parents set powerful examples simply by showing up and getting after it. Our gym isn’t just a place to train—it’s a place to grow together.

If you’ve been thinking about getting your kids more active, building up their strength and confidence, or simply giving them a healthy outlet for their energy, we’d love to have them join us.

Let’s raise strong, capable kids who know how to move well, work hard, and have fun doing it.

See you in class 💪
